Soy wax is 100% plant-based so it’s vegan-friendly, toxin-free, sustainable, biodegradable and has excellent burn quality.
100% natural and vegan
Soy wax is derived from 100% natural soybean plants and easy to grow in many regions. This is different from traditional paraffin wax, which is made from crude oil, coal or oil shale. Our soy wax is 100% vegan and not tested on animals.
The absence of toxins, carcinogens or contaminants means that soy wax is less allergenic. Soy wax is much healthier for us as it does not release any harmful substances into the atmosphere, unlike non-renewable paraffin wax, which may contain harmful carcinogens to the body. Natural soy wax is a much safer way to treat yourself to candles or candle wax melts.
Friendly to the environment and the planet
Since soy wax is plant-based and derived from fast-growing soybean plants. It is renewable, biodegradable, water soluble and sustainable making it much more environmentally friendly than fossil like Paraffin.
Since soybeans are vegetables, soy wax is biodegradable. This makes it easier to clean up accidental spills and makes the handling of these products environmentally friendly.
Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax. This means that soy wax burns cooler and longer than paraffin candles. The extended candle life means you can enjoy the heavenly scents for longer. The scent of the candle wafts into the air from a puddle of wax surrounding the wick. Since the melting point of soy wax is lower than that of paraffin wax, this means that a large puddle often forms around the wick, resulting in a much stronger aroma. Of course this depends on the type of soy wax used and the manufacturing method of the manufacturers. There are many types of soy wax on the market, and while soy wax is an inherently sustainable choice, there are many factors that can affect the overall integrity of wax. We choose our soy wax producer based on our commitment to sustainability.
China, USA, Brazil, Argentina and India are among the top 5 soybean producers in the world and while some of these countries provide relatively cheap soy wax, we have committed that soy wax will be grown and produced 100% in the USA. on the principles of our company’s commitment to sustainable development., qualities and ethics. Skore’s Soy Wax has an opaque, creamy, semi-matte finish, unlike many inferior soy waxes that can appear uneven or lumpy.
Many Candle brands advertise their products as soy, when in reality they often mix soy with paraffin and/or additives for stability, frost resistance, better glass adhesion, better fragrance, lower costs and higher profits. If in doubt, ask the candle maker if they use additives or mix wax with anything else. Absolutely no fillers or stabilizers go into any of our soy candles or wax melt dots.
